An evening with Joe Liemandt at MIT
Joe Liemandt — Alpha School’s Principal — takes Boston families through the model, the data, and the why. Q&A after. Bring your hardest questions.
We’re a group of founding parents bringing Alpha School to Greater Boston with two locations opening September 2026. Mastery-based academics in two hours a day. The rest of the day on real-world skills. No homework. Kids get their afternoons back.
Come meet Joe Liemandt and ask the hard questions. Or watch the recent conversation with education expert Michael Horn if you can’t make it in person.

Alpha’s Principal in conversation with Michael Horn - Harvard professor, co-author of Disrupting Class - on the future of K–12 and what learning science actually says. Sponsored by the Mass AI Coalition.
I’m Tatiana. I’m an executive coach and a mom of two kids. I first heard about Alpha last year in Austin. A friend couldn’t stop talking about how his kid was thriving, while my husband and I were quietly struggling with our blue-ribbon private school back home.
I went deep. Back-channel referencing with families at the Miami, NYC, and SF campuses. Over and over, I kept hearing the same things: amazing kid transformations. Engagement levels parents hadn’t seen in years. Confidence boosts in kids who’d previously checked out. It became clear this was the right place for my kids to thrive academically and discover who they are.
Alpha might look radical to some. But it’s really just learning science and brain research applied to a proven, evidence-based education model. One that serves all kids and meets them where they are.
I lobbied Alpha to come to Boston. Now we have two locations opening September 2026, and a burgeoning community of families who want to future-proof their kids.
If you’re curious: come to a shadow day. Join an info session. Ask the hard questions.
